Let’s get to know our team members better!
It has been well over a week since our relaunch took flight. With the relaunch, we’ve briefly introduced our exciting SMSO initiatives, our updated social media platforms as well as revealing the faces of the team behind the work. Do have a look on our Instagram (@smso_uk) page where we further delved onto this.
Today, we introduce an example of our Mari Kita Blog initiative. We begin with an exclusive content that features our team members! We get to know their official roles in the team, their favourite seat on the ✈️, inviting the members to describe themselves with emojis ✨ and lastly to share on their aspirations for SMSO.
Shall we get to know our EXCO 21/22 team better? Without further ado, let’s begin!
Mohamad Nur Fauzan

What is your role in the exco? President What is your favourite seat on an ✈️ ? Never the middle, always the window seat. Describe yourself with emojis! 🤪 What are your aspirations for SMSO? I hope that SMSO eventually becomes a social catalyst not only for Singaporean Muslim students in the UK but also for Alumnus who have studied in the UK. What happens from there we have to see, but now I hope we are able to be a catalyst for people to meet.

What is your role in the exco? Vice-President What is your favourite seat on an ✈️ ? Cockpit Describe yourself with emojis! 🛶🤺😴 What are your aspirations for SMSO? I hope for SMSO to be a platform for our Muslim students overseas to seek social support be it emotional or informational, and a place where students would feel at home even when we're thousands of miles away.

As a home away from home, I hope SMSO would continue to connect people around the UK! Ohhhh and looking forward to more Hari Raya and foodie gatherings ❤️

What is your role in the exco? Events Officer What is your favourite seat on an ✈️ ? The window seat on the leftmost side of the plane! Describe yourself with emojis! ❤️💖🌸 What are your aspirations for SMSO? Home - rather than it being a place, it is about the people that we choose to surround ourselves with. This is what I aspire SMSO to be. To be of benefit for our Singaporean Muslims, to be a positive community and a safe haven 💖
